Switzerland is a beautiful country with majestic mountains, peaceful lakes and stunning views. For the hiker, skier or shopper, Switzerland offers some fabulous opportunities for vacationing. The area around Montreux is one of my favorites. Here are just a few others.

Montreux
No visit to Europe is complete without a trip to a castle, and Montreux offers the Chateau de Chillon, located above Lake Geneva. An 11th Century castle, Chillon contains dungeons, a tower, courtyards, weaponry and antique furniture, as well as frescoes. Geneva
French speaking, this city boasts shopping, restaurants, museums and a fountain considered the tallest in the world. Set on the shores of Lake Geneva, it is an enchanting city for culture, as well as watch, chocolate, boutique or perfume shopping.

Lucerne
From Geneva, one can take a relaxing boat to Lucerne, with its stunning veiws, as well as visit Mount Pilatus.

Zermatt
Visit the Matterhorn, ski or enjoy the beautiful views and exciting nightlife here.

St. Moritz
A variety of sports in this winter resort make it a popular choice. Spa and fine restaurants abound.

With many natural hiking areas and adventures, Switzerland is a top destination.
